Indulgence at Commission Row: Curated Caviar and Billy Strings at Gainbridge
Before heading to the Billy Strings concert at Gainbridge Stadium on Friday, we decided to treat ourselves to an unforgettable pre-show meal at Commission Row, conveniently located right next door. The main star of our evening? The Curated Caviar Service, which was nothing short of extraordinary.
Priced at $102, this caviar service wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny. The 1oz selection of Regiis Ova Ossetra caviar was luxurious, with its delicate, buttery texture and briny richness, each bite a refined treat. Paired with an array of accompaniments, it elevated the entire experience.
The presentation included Yukon blinis, which were soft and slightly sweet, perfect for holding the caviar. The gaufrette potato added a crispy, salty contrast, while the chive, egg white, and yolk pudding added layers of flavor and texture. We particularly loved the touch of crème fraîche, which brought a tangy creaminess, and the caper and pickled shallot added the right amount of acidity to cut through the richness.
This spread was so thoughtfully curated that it allowed us to try the caviar in different ways—whether layered on the soft blinis, or stacked on the crispy gaufrette potatoes. Every combination was a new burst of flavor.
The experience wasn’t just about the food, though. The atmosphere at Commission Row was laid-back yet upscale, with just the right amount of pre-concert buzz in the air. And being able to walk right next door to Gainbridge Stadium after our meal was a huge plus. No rushing, no hassle—just a seamless transition from dinner to live music. It felt like the perfect way to kick off an evening of incredible music with Billy Strings.
If you’re looking for a unique dining experience in Indy before a concert or event, Commission Row is definitely worth checking out. The caviar may be a splurge, but trust me, it’s one that will linger on your palate long after the concert has ended.
